Sylvia and Jeanne are both musicians who extravagate the worlds of Dissonant Art Music, Industrial, Noise, Electro and Metal. In [scars], those worlds collide, pulverise and form another very own tone of music, called: Death Doom Industrial.
Incoherent constellations of instruments form a coherent voice: recorders from tenor to sub double bass, bowed and plucked electric guitars, synthesizer, laptop, samples, circuit bending, found objects, video art.
CATENATION first evolved 1996, went on a hiatus for some time, and was remodelled in 2012 featuring the artists Sylvia Hinz and Jeanne Strieder. they combine improvisation, live performance, visual and audio art.
